This coming weekend, the town of Aia in Guipuzcoa, located near San Sebastian, will host the Collection Plants Fair, which has been held annually since 2003. This event will take place at the Iturraran Botanical Garden, situated in the heart of the Pagoeta Natural Park, an exceptional setting for plant specialists and enthusiasts.
At the Fair, visitors will be able to enjoy and acquire special plants from all five continents, many of which are unknown in our latitudes, but most can be adapted and cultivated without problems in our gardens.
The event’s organization promotes the participation of quality growers with production systems that respect the environment. In this edition, the presence of 48 nurseries from different nationalities has been confirmed to present their collections.
In this edition, Viveros Sala Graupera will be present for the first time, presenting Eco-Gardening, its online plant sales platform which is already celebrating its first year of life.
Eco-Gardening’s proposal for the Fair focuses on species for sustainable gardening, among which stand out Salvia species native to Mexico and the multiple varieties of Grevillea featured in the Sala Graupera catalog. And as a novelty, among others, Lobostemon fruticans will be presented, which has been marketed since this spring.
