At the beginning of 2015 we resume the blog full of energy and new resolutions for this year. And therefore we want to present you with a brief calendar with the most relevant gardening events of the national and international scene, to inform you about new creative trends and the most innovative proposals in the sector.

At the [Allariz International Garden Festival](http://www.allariz.com/festival/contenidos.asp?sec=9&id=59), this January the construction work of the winning gardens of the sixth edition of the Festival will begin, which is presented with the motto "Music in the garden". And it will open its doors from May to October. Among the proposals selected for this year, the main protagonist will be bamboo.

On March 19 and 20, the [APEVC Congress](http://apevc.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=37&Itemid=76&lang=es) will take place in the city of Lleida, with the title "The tree, structure of urban green". As in the previous edition, linked to the Congress, a Speed Gardening Contest will be held, with a free theme and in which Sala Graupera will collaborate by making its catalog available to participants for the creation of the gardens. Based on the first edition held in Olot, we hope to enjoy both formal gardens and other more daring and innovative proposals.

At the international level, we will talk about two important gardening events in England promoted by the Royal Horticulture Society: the [Cardiff Flower Show](https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-flower-show-cardiff/about-the-rhs-flower-show-cardiff) from April 17 to 19, which will take place in the gardens of Cardiff Castle, created by the great English landscape architect Capability Brown. And the [Chelsea Flower Show](https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-chelsea-flower-show), the country's most prestigious and oldest event, which will be held in London from May 13 to 19.

In late spring we will talk about events related to [EXPO 2015](http://www.expo2015.org/en/index.html?packedargs=op=changeLang) in the city of Milan which, under the motto "Feeding the planet, energy for life", foresees the realization of pavilions and urban landscape improvement projects as standards of sustainable gardening and promotion of edible gardens.

We will reach autumn with a review of the event season with the [Métis Gardens Festival](http://www.refordgardens.com/english/), in Canada, from June 27 to September 27; open to artists and landscape architects, to continue surprising us with the creative versatility offered by plant material.

From here, Viveros Sala Graupera takes the opportunity to wish you a happy and prosperous 2015.
